Our basketball league programs for children ages 7 to 14 are non-competitive & instructional. The leagues are designed to educate participants on the processes of the actual game. Our instructional/recreational league division is designed to teach younger participants the basics of each sport. Parental involvement is highly recommended. 8 & Under: The instructional league divisions is designed to teach younger participants the basics of basketball. Our teaching concepts will be very personal and hands on. Parental involvement is highly recommended. These divisions are coached for competition and officiated by the book. A degree of common sense and latitude will be applied to the younger division. 10 & Under: Grade school division is the first level of competitive play. Games are played, scores are kept but it must be noted that these participants are still learning. Our coaches and officials understand this, so a certain amount of latitude is given. 12 & Under —14 & Under: These divisions are coached for competition and officiated by the high school rule book, but under no circumstances will we allow any team or participant to be humiliated. If a game is well in hand the leading coach will have their team back off. Co-ed Division: 8-under For participation in a certain division a child must have attained the stated division age limit by the beginning of season. Children can play "up" a division but they cannot play down in a division. Girls & Boys Division age brackets are:
